This past Sunday in youth group we eleborated further on Pastor William's sermon about God & His Word, more so in preparation for next week's sermon on the creation. The main point that we tackled was "Looking at the Process and Not the End Result".
We spend a good deal of time looking at the end result, but forget the process. A tree is a tree, but who ever thinks of how it got there? A star in the sky is pretty, but the enormity of it's creation is rarely contemplated. God is usually forgotten within what we consider is the mundane.
When we wake in the morning we find our eyes viewing things that are completely extrordinary. First off, yourself! We are so focused on the end result that we forget the process, we forget the Maker...
As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother's womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things (Ecc. 11:5).
Don't take for granted the end result. Knowing God can come about by simply reflecting on the process. He made you, he made me, He made the tree, He made the stars... So next time you walk the streets, or look in the mirror, don't just dwell on the end result, think of the process and it's Creator.
