This weekend, we'll be continuing the Chasing the Lion series by talking about taking risks. As we've looked at 2 Samuel 23:20-23, we see that Benaiah took some SERIOUS risks - both risks to his career and his life. His military strategy may have seemed suspect at the time, but we can see how God used his willingness to take risks to place Benaiah exactly where he needed to be later, to assist Solomon in his ascension to the throne of Israel. Can you look back and see risks that you took that God used later? With the benefit of hindsight, can you make some sense of times of uncertainty and high risk? It's not always the case - I believe some things won't be clear this side of heaven - but I do think that God does, now and then, allow us times of clarity where we can see how He has worked in and through the circumstances of our lives.
Are there lions of risk that you're facing now? Is God calling you to step out and face them?
